The Galileo Range of Thermometers.

Standard

Often described as scientific art, these items contain colored glass temperature indicating spheres which are calibrated to within a fraction of a gram with the result of extremely accurate temperature measurements.

The balls are suspended in a clear liquid, changing position with even the smallest fluctuations in temperature. The metallic badge attached to the sphere which is still floating, and yet resides at the lowest point, is the current air temperature reading.

There are four different sizes of this particular model, ranging in height from 11 inches to the tallest tower measuring a full 24 inches.  All of these measure the same range in temperature.

11" - $13.95,        14" - $18.95,        17" - $29.95,        24" - $39.95

Galileo Rustica Thermometer

This Galileo Rustica Thermometer is an individually designed decorative ornament suitable for reading temperatures both indoors and outside.

Each of the glass temperature spheres inside of the thermometer is precisely weighed and fitted with a metallic Fahrenheit temperature indicator. Simply view the indicator on the lowest temperature sphere within those spheres still floating at the top of the thermometer to read the correct  temperature outside the glass. The spheres therefore slowly sink as the temperature rises and as the temperature falls, they rise once again to the surface.

Using the built in hook at the top of the thermometer, the Galileo Thermometer can be placed on display either by suspending it from a  tree branch or hooked onto a coachbolt or similar hook and chain. All thermometers must be placed out of direct sunlight - as this can cause readings which are not an accurate measure of the surrounding air temperature.

Galileo Clock and Thermometer

Not only does this instrument tell the temperature and time, it is also a great looking functional ornament.

The glass thermometer stands at an impressive 11" high and is securely fixed in the wooden wall-mounted base. Above the actual thermometer is an eye pleasing 3" diameter clock, which adds to the functionality of this temperature measuring instrument.

Makes a wonderful gift for the weather enthusiast!

This two piece set features a Galileo thermometer with a temperature measurement range of 64-80 degrees F.

Changes in barometric pressure within weather systems are constantly revealed by the colored water level inside the vertical spout of the barometer globe.   A lower level of blue liquid in the glass spout indicates higher pressure and as a result good weather is likely. A high water position is more often associated with poorer weather.

In instances of severe weather and larger storms, the water may even run out of the top section of the spout!!  Both the thermometer and the globe are mounted firmly on a stylish polished wooden base.
